NCFWRA / Atlantic Beach Rescue Drill

The Nassau County Firematic Water Rescue Association third annual drill was held in Atlantic Beach.
The drill was instructional in nature withPMI Ropes, Inc, ZODIAC Maritime Academy and MUSTANG SURVIVAL products sponsoring specific classes from High Angle Rescue to Inflatable Rescue Craft Operations. Additional equipment and funding provided by sponsorship from KAWASAKI, PRINCETON-TEC LIGHTS, NRS, WRSI HELMETS, DUNKIN DONUTS(Lawrence), RYAN BECK, DIGI-FOTO
After the 4 hour instructional portion of the drill,
water rescue teams of Atlantic Beach Rescue, FDNY, Franklin Square -Munson FD, Freeport FD, Glen Cove FD, Island Park FD, Long Beach FD, MerrickFD, N Merrick FD, Mineola Volunteer Ambulance, Oceanside FD, Wantagh FD and the Atlantic Beach Village Lifeguards. This years drill purpose was to foster standardization of response procedures and coordinating various assets and capabilities of the many water rescue teams in our area that would respond to a large scale water emergency in our in our area.After the instructional portion of the drill a real life scenario was enacted where the participants practiced the demonstrated skills.
